A. B. Black being duly sworn, deposes and says:
My name is A. B. Black ; my post office is Lexington, Okla.; I am appearing as a witness for the children of Robert E. Ward; I was well acquainted with Ella Sizemore and knew her from her birth to the time of her death; Ella Sizemore's father was named Joel H. Sizemore and he was born in Alabama in what was then known as Marion Co., but now called Lamar Co.; Joel Sizemore's father was named Daniel Sizemore; Daniel Sizemore died sometime in the fifties; I was raised within two miles of where Old Dan Sizemore died and can remember the talk among the neighbors that Old Dan Sizemore had considerable Cherokee blood; Old Daniel Sizemore , it was said was born in Tennessee in middle Tennessee, I do not know what county; Old Daniel Sizemore's family came into Alabama from Tennessee about 1820; I know of no enrollment of the Sizemores as Indians but I have always heard of them as being Cherokees. This is all I know.
